I’M A CO-CREATOR, ENTREPRENEUR, AND DIGITAL CATALYST WHO LEADS AT THE INTERSECTION OF BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY—BRINGING TOGETHER PEOPLE, CULTURES, AND IDEAS TO DRIVE INNOVATION AND IMPACT.
For more than 20 years, I’ve partnered with senior leaders across the life sciences industry and beyond to open new geographies, launch new markets, and scale new technologies. My work focuses on building what matters: scaling global operations, winning in new markets, pivoting businesses to profitability, and leading organizational and cultural transformations that stick.
I started in the lab—a PhD in Nuclear Physics, white coat, radiation badge, and a head full of questions. Curiosity pulled me into entrepreneurship: I founded and exited two companies, learning how to turn teams into engines and ideas into value. That builder’s mindset later helped me scale biotech innovators like Shire and Alnylam into Fortune 500 companies, driving enterprise adoption of AI and Generative AI to unlock efficiencies, enhance decision-making, and deliver real business impact.
As a human technologist, I believe technology must serve people— or it doesn’t serve at all. I champion inclusive, multidisciplinary teams because diversity is the engine of creativity and the heart of ethical, human-centered AI. Better teams make better decisions, build better products, and achieve better outcomes—for patients, customers, and communities.
As an academic, I actively support STEM research and education. I founded the Center for Scientific Visualization Research (GVCM) and the Disruptive Technologies Lab (DTL) at the National Nuclear Research Institute (University of São Paulo), collaborating with researchers and academic centers of excellence around designing and developing new ventures and strategic projects. My approach combines first-principles rigor with disciplined execution. A PhD in Nuclear Technology plus BScs in Physics and Computer Science provide the analytical depth to model complex systems. An MBA in Project Management adds the operating framework—priorities, milestones, accountability—to move from insight to value at speed and scale.
FROM LAB TO MARKET
I founded two applied-innovation hubs at the National Nuclear Research Institute (University of São Paulo): the Center for Scientific Visualization Research (GVCM) and the Disruptive Technologies Lab (DTL). These centers operationalized a lab-to-market motion—turning research into prototypes, pilots, and ultimately ventures. That same build-measure-learn discipline underpins my current work across life sciences and healthcare.
BRIDGING ACADEMIA, INDUSTRY & GOVERNANCE
I serve as Chair of the SIM Boston Life Sciences SIG and as a Certified Board Member with the Private Directors Association (PDA), concentrating on digital, data, AI governance, and technology oversight. My perspective is strengthened by executive education at Harvard, Stanford, and MIT, and certifications including PMP, Scrum Master, COBIT, CIPP/E, AIGP, and Security+.
